When seconds matter, access to fire hydrants can make all the difference.

After winter storms, we ask residents and businesses to please help by clearing snow and ice from fire hydrants near their property:

✅ Remove snow and ice from the hydrant itself
✅ Clear at least 3 feet around the hydrant on all sides
✅ Clear a path from the hydrant to the street

Clearing hydrants helps firefighters connect hoses faster and get water flowing without delay during an emergency.
