| With winter weather moving into our area, the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company would like to remind everyone to take a few extra precautions to stay safe and help us serve the community effectively: • Allow extra time for travel and slow down on snow- and ice-covered roads • Clear snow and ice from driveways, sidewalks, and around fire hydrants if safely possible • Keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from anything combustible and never leave them unattended • Ensure smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are working properly • Avoid overloading electrical outlets and use extension cords rated for winter use • If using alternative heat sources, ensure proper ventilation Please remember that winter conditions can impact response times. Your preparedness and patience help keep both residents and first responders safe. Rest assured, your volunteers at the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company will be ready to respond, no matter the conditions. As always, in an emergency, dial 911. Stay warm, stay safe, and look out for one another. |
