The mission of the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Department is to reduce the loss of life and property caused by fires, medical emergencies, environmental incidents, and other disasters through proactive fire prevention and public education.

A key part of this mission is educating our community—students, residents, and business owners—on fire and life safety best practices. Through programs in schools, homes, and workplaces, we focus on prevention topics such as smoke and carbon monoxide awareness, escape planning, cooking and heating safety, electrical hazards, fire extinguisher use, and general emergency preparedness. Promoting these safety initiatives throughout our community is essential to preventing injuries, deaths, and property loss before emergencies occur.

Our department is committed to being visible, engaged, and approachable within the community. We actively participate in local events, serve as role models, and strive to use all available resources effectively and efficiently to deliver a level of service our citizens expect and deserve.

The Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Department offers station tours, site visits, and complimentary home and business fire safety assessments. These visits help identify potential hazards, review evacuation plans, and ensure residents and businesses are better prepared in the event of an emergency.

We can also assist with the installation and inspection of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors, helping ensure these critical life-safety devices are properly placed and functioning.
