As we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America and our nation's Independence Day, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and spirit that have defined our country since 1776. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and memorable holiday with family, friends, and neighbors.

Whether you're firing up the grill, watching fireworks, or hosting a backyard gathering, please keep safety at the forefront.

πŸ”₯ Grilling Safety

β€’ Keep grills at least 10 feet away from homes, decks, and anything that can burn.
β€’ Never leave a hot grill unattended.
β€’ Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the cooking area.
β€’ Clean grease and fat buildup to help prevent flare-ups.
β€’ Always have a fire extinguisher or garden hose nearby.

πŸŽ† Fireworks Safety

β€’ Leave professional fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
β€’ Never allow young children to handle fireworks.
β€’ Keep a bucket of water or garden hose nearby.
β€’ Never relight fireworks that fail to ignite.
β€’ Stay away from dry grass, brush, and other combustible materials.
β€’ Never point or throw fireworks at another person.
β€’ Dispose of used fireworks by soaking them in water before placing them in the trash.

πŸš’ If an emergency occurs, call 9-1-1 immediately.

From all of us at the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company, thank you for your continued support throughout the year.

We wish you and your family a safe, fun, and Happy 4th of July as we proudly celebrate America 250 and the freedoms that unite us.
